Submitting your Portfolio for Review

  • Digital vs. Film - We only review digital files and can’t accept transparencies or prints without prior written permission.

  • Images - Please submit 50 - 100 samples of your best available images in the following configuration:
    • Approximately 1,280 pixels in the longest dimension, 72 DPI
    • 8-Bit, RGB JPEG format with minimal compression

  • Metadata Text - Embed in the image IPTC fields or include a separate Excel file (or a printout) of sample text for your images including:
    • Image ID number (filename)
    • Headline (title)
    • Caption (Who, What, Where, When, Why, How)
    • Keywords (field of science, technology type, activity shown)
    • Special Issues (digitally modified, etc.)
    • Are there Model Releases (Y/N)?

  • Questionnaire - Include a copy of our portfolio submission questionnaire.

  • Delivery - Contact us at 206.232.2300 or about posting your submission to our FTP site. You can also mail your pictures, metadata & questionnaire to:
